CIPR and EtheryTech Join Forces to Advance Satellite Communication and Space Technology

On 08.05.2025 , the Center for Innovation Promotion and Research (CIPR) LLC, represented by its Director Mary Hrachoohi Boghosian, and EtheryTech LLC, represented by its Director Narek Ghazaryan, signed a memorandum of understanding to formalize their strategic cooperation.

This partnership aims to accelerate technological progress in the fields of telecommunications and space-based communications systems in Armenia. By combining technical resources and expert knowledge, the two organizations will collaborate on the design, testing, and deployment of advanced communication technologies, including satellite systems.

The memorandum outlines a framework for joint efforts in engineering development, infrastructure sharing, and the exchange of scientific and technical expertise. It also emphasizes the importance of intellectual property rights, data confidentiality, and regular review meetings to ensure ongoing alignment and innovation.

This collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening Armenia’s capabilities in space technology and telecommunication engineering, contributing to the country’s technological and scientific advancement.

CIPR and Byurakan Observatory Sign Strategic Partnership to Advance Space and Astronomical Research

On March 28, 2025, the Byurakan Observatory (BA) of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, represented by its Director Areg Mikayelyan, and the Center for the Promotion and Research of Innovation (CIPR) LLC, represented by its Founding Director Marie Hrachuhi Poghosyan, formalized their collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding.

This partnership aims to foster technological innovation and promote the growth of a knowledge-driven economy by advancing modern technologies and developing specialized equipment for space exploration and astronomical research.

The signing of this memorandum marks a significant milestone in enhancing collaborative efforts and launching new initiatives in the field of astronomy.

As part of its longstanding tradition, AESA-NE recognized distinguished individuals of Armenian descent, or those closely connected to Armenia, who have made significant contributions in their professional fields, especially in STEM. Hovhannes Mardirossian, AESA-NE’s Science and Technology Chairman, introduced this year’s Guest of Honor, Dr. Mary Hrachoohi Boghosian. A recipient of numerous Excellence Awards and the Founder and Director of Armenia’s Center for Innovation Promotion and Research, Dr. Boghosian was celebrated for her distinguished career in aerospace science and engineering, spanning decades at NASA, the Aerospace Corporation, and most recently in Armenia.

In her keynote speech, Dr. Boghosian captivated the audience with a compelling account of her efforts to advance Armenia’s space program since 2015, which led to the successful launch of CubeSat satellites. (CubeSats are small satellites, typically 10 x 10 x 10 cm in size, that operate in low Earth orbit and beyond.)
