CIPR at the 2nd Byurakan Summer School for Engineers
On July 23, 2025, Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory held a 2nd Byurakan Summer School for Engineers (2BSSE). The Center for Innovation Promotion and Research (CIPR) Aerospace team had the honor to deliver a three hours seminar including conducting a hands-on workshop on the topic of “Introduction to Space and Satellite Systems.”
The topics of the seminar were on the followings;
- Introduction to Space Engineering and Satellite Missions
- Introduction to Space Environment & Its effect on Satellite Systems
- Introduction to Satellite Subsystems
- Introduction to Satellite Systems’ Assembly, Integration, and Testing
This participation marked a meaningful step in strengthening the collaboration between CIPR Aerospace and the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory aligning with our shared missions to advance Armenia’s aerospace engineering and astrophysics education.
Our sessions were part of the “Space Engineering” module, where we introduced the participants to the fundamentals of Space Engineering and Satellite Systems.
In the practical component, students successfully assembled and activated a miniaturized satellite and its ground station, both developed by CIPR Aerospace team to learn about the essential satellite subsystems including establishing a communication link between the ground station and the satellite. With the help of a ground station, the students received real-time transmission, gaining valuable insight into satellite integration and communication.
CIPR remains deeply committed to supporting initiatives like 2BSSE, which nurture the next generation of students to become engineers and contribute to the development of space engineering in Armenia.
