Ucom and CIPR bring “Space 1.0” to Shenavan and Ashtarak schools
With the support of Ucom, the “Space 1.0” educational program has reached Shenavan and Ashtarak. The initiative aims to inspire schoolchildren to explore the fascinating world of space technologies by transferring theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the field of space systems’ engineering.
Within the framework of the program, teachers from the participating schools will undergo training and will later pass on the knowledge to their students. The schools will also receive “Space 1.0” educational kits, equipped with a small artificial satellite, a ground station, a parachute, and practical guides. Over the course of the year, “Space 1.0” will be implemented in 15 schools in Yerevan and the regions.
On the 22nd of April, CIPR specialists presented a CanSat-type small artificial satellite and a ground station in Shenavan and Ashtarak, which make it possible to collect environmental data in real time. Students took part in lively discussions, addressing the fundamentals of space engineering, sensor integration, and the role of satellite technologies in solving modern challenges.
This initiative has been made possible thanks to Ucom, Armenia’s leading telecommunications company, which continues to invest in the development of young people’s technological education.
We would like to thank Ucom, as well as the teachers and students of the schools in Shenavan and Ashtarak, for being involved in this inspiring and important project.
Space education in Armenia is taking another step forward.
